Growing up in the small South African town of Uitenhage, Zack originally had a rather different future in mind. The son of an accountant, he studied accounting himself before modelling unexpectedly took him from Cape Town to cities around the world. More than 20 years later, he is still in the industry, but these days he works on both sides of the camera as a model and photographer.

Along the way, a one-week trip to London somehow turned into four years, a Dutch wife and eventually a family with two kids. Now based in Haarlem, Zack remains closely connected to South Africa and returns to Cape Town whenever he can. Away from the camera, he loves sport, cooking a proper South African braai, anything with wheels and, preferably, a day spent in the ocean with his family.
